Brachiopods Wordsearch

The brachiopods wordsearch activity for Kids contains key vocabulary for understanding brachiopods. There will be new words for students with little experience with this animal. Many of these words are scientific terminology and not easy reading. However younger children, ages 8, 9, and 10, can be successful if they have some experience with brachiopods prior to working this puzzle.

They will do best if this puzzle is given as a follow up at or near the end of a unit of study of fossils that includes brachiopods. The words and concepts in the puzzle are covered on this web site. You will find the information on brachiopods by following this link.

Secondary students can do this puzzle as a follow up activity or they can do it as an exploratory introduction, since the wordsearch doesn’t require knowing the meaning of the words in order to find them. However, all of the vocabulary and concepts in this puzzle can be found by following the link given above.

This wordsearch puzzle is free to print or download for educational or personal use. It may not be reproduced or republished for commercial use without written permission.
