Found this in a pile of dirt left by a contractor, it's about 2 1/4. By 3 1/2 rep ice red color

I’m not sure what it is but it’s really cool !!! I like the cross in it as well

Update , after further review, I believe this is a mineral called
BLOODSTONE with a hardness of 7 out of a scale 1-10
