Backyard rock

Found this in back yard in south, central michigan. Not sure if fossil or not. Heavy at about 33.5 lbs and about a foot across. Not magnetic.

Possible turtle shell

Looks like the upper inside of a turtle shell

Carboniferuos Fossil?

It sure looks like a fossil. I can't say from what. Much of South Central Michigan is covered with rocks from the Carboniferous Period. At that time there were lots of tree ferns and other primitive plants. This looks like it could be a plant fossil.
