Fossil 1 - Myrick

This was found in southeastern Georgia, USA. The striations are confusing on the exterior with bands of dark and light. We think it is a tooth. Small inset in picture is cross-section. Pen for scale.

this find looks a great deal like petrified wood i have had a few in my collection.check on the net and look at some i do believe it is petrified wood.

I don't know what this is. I don't think it is a tooth. It is tooth shaped but it is very large for a tooth, even a large t-rex tooth which would be shaped differently. Sorry I can't be more help on this.
