Evidence of a desert?

The white layer looks like anhydrite (a form of gypsum, with the water removed). Such mineral seams develop in highly evaporitic environments, so I conclude that your rock formed in an arid area at some point in the geological past. It's not fossil.

I don't know what this is Amina, It is unusual. It makes me think of mastodon teeth but it doesn' have enough detail to say for sure.
