Ocean bone

by Brennan V Cornell
(Long Beach, CA)

I was hunting shark teeth at Caspersen Beach, FL when I found this specimen in about three feet of water. Looks like some marrow and a partial joint exposed. Any ideas?

Brennan,

It does look like bone. Hard to say for sure from what. It is pretty well worn. I would guess whale rib.
